Is Paver Sealing Worth It?
For most patios, yes, but it's not the first step. It's the last one.
What it protects against
What sealing actually does
Sealing locks in the fresh sand and restored color from a full clean, and it helps keep weeds and ants out of the joints going forward. Without it, a freshly cleaned and re-sanded patio starts losing that sand to rain and foot traffic again right away.

It's a 3-visit process
Wash, then re-sand once dry, then seal once dry again. It can't be rushed into one visit.

It always follows a full clean
Sealing over dirt or old sand just locks the dirt in for good. There's no skipping the clean first.

It's a repeat service
Sealer wears down over a few years depending on traffic and sun, and gets reapplied.
When to skip it
If you're not ready for the upkeep
